New flipboard doesn’t like me.

Gmail app for iOS still rubbish.

How was a company as large as Google, with as much knowledge and talent able to put out such garbage?

Google. Please make your iOS usable. I can do more on your web interface! And yes. I am talking about your ‘new and improved’ one available in the app store.

Gmail for iPhone…Needs Improvement

I have been using the new Gmail for iPhone app for 24hrs now, no discovered bugs this time around!

I have a few things that are bothering me though.

• Interface seems slow. The animations just aren’t smooth on my iPhone 4s. The baked in mail app on the iPhone works flawlessly (well, not really with gmail…ie archiving instead of deleting?!?)
• Cannot send email from multiple address’s like I can with the web app. I have several email addresses that are all forwarded to a single gmail account. I like being able to send out emails and reply emails using the different email addresses.
• Cannot ‘empty trash’ or ‘empty spam’ like one can with the web app.
• TAGS!…The main reason I switched to the gmail app from the mail app on my iPhone was so I could better use my tags. However when you have more than just a few tags with the app it becomes damn near impossible to utilize easily. Selecting a tag at the bottom of your list involves a TON of scrolling down, then scrolling all the way back up just to hit apply!? Come on Google.
• Notifications don’t show up on the lock screen (and there are no options to make it!)

I feel as though all of these features and changes would be easy to implement. I don’t see why they aren’t there.
